The Village of Chestnut Ridge honored Legislator Joel Friedman on Thursday night upon his appointment to the Rockland County Legislature, as reported by Rockland Daily here.

Friedman was recognized for his achievement in being appointed to the Rockland County Legislature and his contributions as a longtime Village of Chestnut Ridge resident.

"The Village of Chestnut Ridge recognizes Joel Friedman, who was recently appointed for the Rockland County Legislator," Chaim Rose, Village of Chestnut Ridge Trustee, shares with Rockland Daily. "Joel is a true public servant and has been involved over the years with many constituent concerns. He will be an asset to the county legislature."

"I would like to thank the mayor and Village Board for the recognition and the kind words,"  Legislator Friedman shares with Rockland Daily. "It was my home village of Chestnut Ridge and especially Mayor Presti that inspired me to get into public service in seeing how the Village adapted so well to an evolving and diverse constituency such as what we have in Chestnut Ridge, and the Village and mayor’s efforts to serve all residents and constituents to the best of their ability. I will definitely use Chestnut Ridge as an example of how government can and should work for the people."
