Village of Chestnut Ridge Approves Thirteen New Street Lights

The Village of Chestnut Ridge's Board approved thirteen new streetlights around the Village with no installation cost to the Village taxpayers. 

"The Village is actually studying many locations throughout the Village for enhanced safety combination of sidewalks, street light walking paths, etc.," Chaim Rose, Village of Chestnut Ridge trustee, shares with Rockland Daily. "We will do whatever it takes to improve and enhance the safety throughout the Village." 

The street lights will be installed by Orange & Rockland. with installation and infrastructure upgrade costs covered by Orange & Rockland. 

The Village Board is looking into other potential locations for streetlights as well.
