West Maple Farm 's Newborn Lamb Needs a Name

West Maple Farm 's Newborn Lamb Needs a Name

by M.C. Millman

West Maple Farm in Monsey welcomed two new lambs born over the weekend.

"As I opened my phone Motzei Shabbos, the photos came in from our Shabbos caretaker," Zev Oster, West Maple Farm owner, shares exclusively with Rockland Daily. "The first baby lamb had been born."

Due to the rain and cold weather, Oster and his crew quickly constructed a makeshift enclosure indoors to keep both mother and baby warm.

"It's all part of taking care of Hashem's creations," says Oster. "Then Sunday, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the second one was born to Marshmallow, our white sheep."

There is still one more lamb due any day.

Marshmellow's lamb Freckles already has his name, but the second lamb will be named by the public. Name suggestions can be posted in the comments below for the newest West Maple Farm resident.
