Pomona Hosts Pre-Election Countywide Meeting

A large group of elected officials in Rockland County met Sunday morning with Senator Elijah Melnick to thank him for the recent funding he helped secure for our town and villages.

A plethora of community leaders attended the well-received meeting in Pomona. Attendees included Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, County Supervisor Michael Specht, New Square  Mayor Izzy Spitzer, New Hempstead Mayor Abe Sicker, Wesley Hills Mayor Marshal Katz Legislator Aron Wieder, Legislator Toney Earl, Rockland County Democratic Chairman John Gremade and trustees from various Villages.

Topics discussed included aging infrastructures, building bridges, East Ramapo schools, school busing, and the advantage of working together in unity. Conversations on all of these topics and more will continue.
