New City Fire Engine Co. No. 1 Mourns the Loss of Ex-Chief James Avras

New City Fire Engine Co. No. 1 mourns the loss of Ex-Chief James Avaras, who passed away last week.  

Chief Avaras faithfully served New City Fire Engine Co. for decades and held the office of Chief of the organization from 2014 to 2015. He was a tremendous asset to the community throughout his life.

The departed will always be remembered. His sudden loss is a loss for all of Rockland.
