Veolia Water to Replace Watermain in New Hempstead Beginning Today

Veolia Water will be replacing the water main for Wits End and Kerri Lane in New Hempstead starting today.

The work is being done to improve the system, reliability, and water quality. Veolia informed New Hempstead residents that water service will be maintained throughout the project, except for brief periods of time. If there is any interruption, the affected residents will be notified beforehand.

The water main upgrade will disrupt parking and impact traffic, but accommodations will be made to facilitate vehicular traffic. The work will begin today, Monday, March 25, and should be finished on or around Friday, May 3, with work taking place between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The water in the area will continue to meet all safe drinking water standards and that water will continue to be available to the area throughout the project except for brief times that residents will be forewarned of by Veolia
