Signs of Safer Swimming in Rockland

M.C. Millman

With the advent of the summer swim season, the Town of Ramapo and Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland advise that pool owners take all necessary safety precautions before opening a pool.

"Last summer there were several near-fatal drownings in Rockland County," Rabbi Yosef C. Golding, Executive Director of Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland shares with Rockland Daily, "and every second counts"

One way to ensure swimmers are safer this summer is by picking up a fillable sign to post by backyard pools. Signs are available both from the Town Supervisor's office at 237 Route 59 in Suffern and Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland at 19 Grove in Monsey. The large signs are available free of charge from both locations and are meant to be customized with the pool owners' address and cross streets written in under the emergency phone number for Hatzoloh or 9-1-1.
