Route 304 Renamed After Former Rockland County Clerk

Rockland lawmakers introduced legislation in 2021 to rename a portion of Route 304 to the ‘Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato Memorial Highway’.

Piperato was a lifelong resident of Rockland County.

He served as the deputy and county clerk for 30 years when he died suddenly in May 2020. Route 304 was chosen as it was a part of the commute Paul regularly took to work at the County.
