READERS WRITE: Yeshivas MUST Encourage Students to Wear Reflectors

Monsey Resident
It is the responsibility of Yeshivas to encourage their students in the ongoing reflector campaign. Roshei Yeshiva need to speak to their bochurim about it and warn them never to go outside from twilight to dawn without a reflector if they want to stay in their yeshiva.
I am focused on bochurim because that is who I nearly don't see the most while driving - bochurim in black, who literally can't be seen.
When I stop the car to gently tell them they are nearly invisible at night, and I could have run them over and that I think it's a wise idea for them to wear reflectors, they laugh it all off. They are boys, so they think they are smarter than that, and I am being ridiculous!
Those of us who know better know who is being ridiculous here, but that is not what this is about. It's about saving lives - and if you're a Rosh Yeshiva or a mechanech, please do your part to impress on our precious children how important it is to be seen and wear a reflector.
