NY-17 Awarded $17 Million in Funding

Last week as part of the Fiscal Year 2023 omnibus appropriations bill, NY-17 was awarded nearly $29 million for 15 community projects in the district, which includes all of Rockland County and portions of central and northwestern Westchester County.

Local projects receiving this funding include $2.4 million to the Village of New Square for a drainage and flood mitigation improvement project;  $2 million for an enrichment center at  Finkelstein Memorial Library;  $1.3 million to Jawonia Behavioral Health Center; and $1 million to Good Samaritan Hospital for cancer Screening Endoscopy Suite.
