New Square Ersthe Hilf Shares Safety Reminders in Response to String of Vehicle Thefts

Rockland Daily Staff

Following the horrific vehicle thefts New Square residents experienced early Monday morning, as reported here on Rockland Daily with continuous updates throughout the day, the Ershte Hilf reminds residents of important safety measures that they recommend instituting to prevent future thefts in the shtetl.

Among the safety measures are the practical points of never leaving a vehicle unlocked and never leaving valuables inside the vehicle as this will draw unwanted attention to the vehicle's interior.

The Ershte Hilf also requested that residents allow them access to the cameras in front of homes, so they have faster access in time of need.

The organization announced that thanks to the license plate readers installed in New Square, the vehicle involved in yesterday's multiple incidents has been identified, and an arrest was made at 1:45 a.m as reported here on Rockland Daily.
