Haverstraw welcomed its newest member to the town's police department.

The newest member of the Haverstraw Town Police Department is Duke, the K-9. Duke will partner with Officer Eric DiPaolo, who has worked for the Haverstraw Town Police Department for several years. Officer DiPaolo recently began 16 weeks of intensive K-9 training school with his dog. The training course is the first step in training Duke, who will join Haverstraw Police Officer Michael Vigiletti and his dog, K-9 Karma, on the force.
