More than $324,000 in New Grant Funding Approved for Rockland County Emergency Use
Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services Director Chris Kear joined Rockland County Executive Ed Day to approve more than $300,000 in grant funds.

A $200,000 grant will go toward a Mobile Training Gallery self-contained breathing apparatus (SBCA) Maze Trailer Unit, which will be located at the Fire
Training Center. The SBCA will be utilized to train volunteer firefighters on safety procedures, methods for searching, self-extrication, and firefighter removal.

A $124,102 Emergency Management Performance Grant will provide the county with hazard emergency preparedness assistance including the evolving threats and risks.
