Feverish Preparations for Yohrtzeit of the Toras Mordechai of Viznitz, zt”l

Wednesday, 29 Adar, is the yohrtzeit of the Toras Mordechai of Viznitz, and chassidim around the world are preparing for this exalted day, preparing to mark the yohrtzeit with spiritual, as well as logistical preparations.

While Wednesday is sure to be the busiest day at the ohel in Monsey, the days before are already drawing crowds who are pouring out their hearts at the holy tziyun.

Since it will be too difficult to accommodate the women with such massive crowds on Wednesday, the afternoon hours on Tuesday from 12:30-5:00 have been designated exclusively for the nashim tzidkaniyos to bring their own unique tears and tefillos on behalf of them, their families, and all of Klal Yisroel. From 5:00 on Tuesday, throughout the day of the yohrtzeit, crowds of men are anticipated from all over New York and New Jersey.

Buses will begin shuttling chassidim from the large Beis Medrash to the beis hachaim every fifteen minutes, beginning at 8:00 on Wednesday. Events and gatherings in memory of the Rebbe will take place Tuesday evening and Wednesday, followed by the Rebbe’s davening at the tziyun at 11:15 Wednesday morning, with a large tisch conducted in unison by the brothers, the Viznizter Rebbes of America, commemorating their illustrious father, and invoking his holy memory for yeshuos for all of Klal Yisroel.
