Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney Meets With Trustees of Four Rockland County Villages

by M. C. Millman

Trustees from the Villages of Pomona, Chestnut Ridge, Airmont, and Spring Valley met with Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney on Sunday, July 31.

The meeting, which took place in Pomona, was arranged by Pomona Trustee Mendy Lasker and other Village trustees.

The meeting allowed the Village trustees to meet with the congressman and discuss particular local needs on issues the congressman has been championing for the Hudson Valley in congress over the last decade.

Discussions centered around ways to assist with repairs to the aging infrastructure of the Villages. This included sewer systems in need of upgrades, drainage issues, roads in need of repaving, parks and open space, the need for sidewalks on main roads for the many pedestrians, and green energy - including solar.

Congressman Maloney was presented with a cake in honor of his birthday, which took place the day before.
