Breaking: Arrest Made After Two Orthodox Jews Shot in Face With Gel-Gun

By M. C. Millman

As reported by Rockland Daily, two visibly Orthodox men were shot at, one in the face, with what was believed at the time to be a BB gun pellet this past Motzei Shabbos.

The two men were standing in a driveway on Decatur Avenue. The Ramapo Police Department’s Detective Division followed several leads, including information on a possible suspect vehicle provided by a Chaverim of Rockland volunteer.

After the detectives conducted numerous interviews and determined that three juveniles taking a joyride were likely responsible for the incident. One of the trio in the car was shooting garbage cans with a gel-gun and struck one of the pair in the driveway in the face with a gel projectile. The 16-year-old from Spring Valley was arrested for Attempted Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He is required to return to the Family Court due to his age.
