Bogus USPS Scam Falls Short in Convincing Recipients

Bogus USPS Scam Falls Short in Convincing Recipients
A recent survey is meant to look like an official letter from the United States Postal Service is nothing more than another scam.

The letter, in poorly worded English, informs the recipient that they have been chosen to help the USPS provide better service by participating in the survey. Recipients are requested to remain anonymous when carrying out the detailed steps, as going incognito will somehow assist in the survey and evaluation process.

By agreeing to participate, recipients are told they will receive a survey package with a certified check for $4,680.50. This will cover the survey costs of $4,000, a bonus of $500, miscellaneous expenses of $130.50, and the cashier's check purchase of $50. Step-by-step instructions on how to use the money once the check is deposited are also detailed.

The letter is yet another attempt at scamming people who don't recognize that something that looks too good to be true - clearly is exactly that.
