Assemblyman Lawler Honors Hatzolah Volunteer Hillel Lebowitz with ‘Citizen of the Year’ Award
Assemblyman Mike Lawler awarded Rockland Hatzalah volunteer Hillel Lebowitz with a “citizen of the year” proclamation for his “tireless work to keep our community safe and healthy” at a ceremony that took place at the Monsey Fire House on Wednesday night.
Lebowitz a graduate from the Viznitzer Yeshiva in Monsey “decided to pursue a career of public service,” Assemblyman Lawler wrote in the proclamation, and “helped save numerous lives as an EMS.”
Mr. Lebowitz is a volunteer with Hatzalah of Rockland County and Riverdale Hatzalah, and “all of Rockland County and it’s residents owe Hillel Lebowitz a debt of gratitude for his tireless work to keep our community safe and healthy,” the proclamation reads.
“Therefore, be it proclaimed that Assemblyman Michael Y. Lawler, along with the resident of the 97th Assembly District, honors, remembers, and commends, Hillel Lebowitz, as he is recognized as one of the 97th Assembly District’s 2021 Citizens of the Year.”
