Rockland County Executive Ed Day Sworn in for Third Term

County Executive Ed Day was sworn in for his third term Monday, January 3rd. Numerous people participated in the ceremony including Chestnut Ridge Trustee Chaim Rose.

After taking the Oath of Office, the County Executive detailed the successes of his two prior terms. Economic growth and better sanitary and safety conditions are some of the improvements Rockland has experienced since Day has entered the scene. 

The County Executive thanked 73% of Rockland voters who returned him to office and detailed his plans for the next four years which included:

Continuing the modernization of County facilities

Expanding focus on community health and mental health

Utilizing American Rescue Plan Act funds to support residents and businesses

“We will continue down the path we have forged together. The path of fiscal responsibility, responsible economic growth and protection of our precious resources and natural environment. While we are not near the finish line yet, I have no doubt that we will cross it together,” concluded County Executive Day.
