Driving tonight and into the morning may become treacherous due to an expected coating of ice accumulating on cold surfaces throughout Rockland.

Light snow is expected to begin this evening and fall through Tuesday. The total projected snowfall is 2 to 3.5 inches, which will add to the already hazardous icing conditions overnight and into the Tuesday morning commute.

Commuters should exercise extreme caution while driving.
