The New York Post Endorses Assemblyman Mike Lawler in House Race

by Rockland Daily Staff

The New York Post has many positive things to say about Mike Lawler, Republican candidate for Congress, in the upcoming NY-17 House race.

The Post refers to Lawler as "a no-nonsense Republican with a vision to get the things that matter to New Yorkers done" and "the model of a conscientious, serious elected official doing his best to fight for the interests of his voters".

The New York Post article also speaks about Lawler's goals to end cashless bail and fight back against policies that harm citizens, including regressive taxes like the MTA's congestion pricing plan.

Lawler is up against Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, whose policies the Post call "awful".

Recent polling shows that Lawler is ahead in the race. According to the Post, "No shock there: New Yorkers left and right alike are sick of self-dealing, smug insiders like Maloney putting their own interests ahead of the voters' and even fellow Democrats."
