Schedules for Rockland Villages Holiday Garbage Collection

A number of Rockland Villages have reported changes in the garbage collection schedule due to the holidays.

The Villages of Montebello, Spring Valley, New Hempstead, Airmont, Wesley Hills, and Haverstraw will have their garbage picked up today and Monday, January 2. Trucks will continue to pick up along the route until they are full. Any trash not picked up on either Monday will be collected the next day.

Unincorporated Ramapa and the Village of Chestnut Ridge’s garbage pickup schedule for this week begins with no garbage pickup on Monday. Instead, Monday’s route will be covered on Tuesday. Tuesday’s route will be covered Wednesday. Village-wide recycling will take place on Thursday, and Thursday’s regular route will be covered on Friday, while Friday’s regular route will be pushed off a day and covered on Saturday.

Clarkstown will not have regular garbage pickup on December 26 and January 2 but will have recycling picked up on those days. Garbage will be picked up on Thursday, December 29 and January 5. 

The Villages of New Square and Kaiser have regular garbage service this week.
