Rocklanders Invited to Attend Solar Eclipse Viewing Event at Haverstraw Bay Park

Rockland County's Division of Environmental Resources (DER) has invited the public to attend a Solar Eclipse Viewing event at Haverstraw Bay Park.

On Monday, April 8th, a total solar eclipse will cross North America. New York is one of nearly a dozen states situated within the path to view the “Great American Eclipse,” which will reach totality at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Weather permitting, the public is encouraged to watch the Great American Eclipse from Haverstraw Bay Park. Park staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide free viewing glasses to those who need them. Residents are encouraged to attend and bring blankets and chairs to view the eclipse from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 8th. 

Haverstraw Bay Park is located at 21 Gagan Road in Haverstraw.
