Rockland Villages Meet with Assemblyman Mike Lawler

Assemblyman Mike Lawler met with officials from the Villages of New Hempstead, Pomona, Airmont, Spring Valley, and Chestnut Ridge on Sunday afternoon, August 21, in advance of the Republican Primary. 

Lawler is running for a seat in Congress in New York's 17th Congressional District. The Republican Party primary will take place on August 23, in New York's 17th Congressional District to determine which Republican candidate will run in the district's general election on November 8, 2022.

The mayors of  Wesley Hills and New Hempstead were in attendance at Sunday's event, along with trustees from the other villages.

The Assemblyman discussed what he would do as a congressman to help, given the need for federal funding to assist locally. Lawler also spoke about school choice and fighting hate and anti-Semitism.
