Ramapo Police Department Holds Force Options Training Session

The Ramapo Police Department Training Unit held a training session last night in preparation of the department's upcoming 2023 force options training, which is ongoing. 

Ramapo Police Department officers have a range of compliance options, including verbal de-escalation, Taser, Baton, BolaWrap, and OC Spray.  The department also develops scenarios based on real-world lessons learned, like an officer's duty to intervene. 

In addition to the ongoing force options training, the police department had Dr. Rabrich, a police surgeon, lead a Stop-the-Bleed session last night. The Stop-the-Bleed session is a crucial part of training, as it helps Ramapo Police Officers respond quickly and effectively during a bleeding emergency.
