The Ramapo Police Department held an active shooter response training at Suffern High School on Thursday night, September 15.
The reality-based program has been conducted by the Town of Ramapo Police for many years and incorporates the latest tactics and practices.
Training in methods and procedures to keep all residents safe is constantly evolving and includes Rockland’s multi-agency Rescue Entry and Counter Terrorism SWAT unit. Suffern Central School District provided security staff to keep the area of the school where the training was taking place shut down for the duration of the training session.
