NORTHBOUND THRUWAY EXIT 15 OFF-RAMP TO NEW JERSEY TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT ALL NEXT WEEK

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound Thruway exit 15 off-ramp to New Jersey will close overnight all next week, starting Monday, March 21, for concrete pavement repairs in New Jersey. The southbound exit 15 off-ramp will also be reduced to one lane of traffic.

Here is the schedule, weather permitting and subject to change:

Monday, March 21, to Thursday, March 24: Northbound off-ramp closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.; southbound off-ramp reduced to one lane from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Friday, March 25: Northbound off-ramp closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.; southbound off-ramp reduced to one lane from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Northbound motorists seeking to access I-287 or Route 17 in New Jersey should follow the posted detour to exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern - NY Routes 17 North & 59) to enter the southbound Thruway via Orange Turnpike and Old Route 17. Variable Message Signs have been activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.

For up-to-date travel information, motorists are encouraged to download the Thruway’s mobile app and view the Travelers Map on the Thruway Authority’s website.
