A Manhattan man with twelve prior arrests was charged on Monday with two slashing murders, including the murder of Bruce Maurice Henry, a doctor in Nyack Pediatric ER, whose body was found in a Manhattan park on Friday, December 23. as reported by Rockland Daily here.

The two murders, allegedly committed by Roland Codrington, age 35, took place in the dead of night, three days apart.

The first murder victim was James Cunningham, age 51, and occurred at 1 a.m. on Monday, December 19. Codrington slashed with a knife Cunningham and left him to die. The murder was caught on camera.

On Friday, December 22, Codrington entered a Lower East Side bar with a pit bull and a baseball bat. He assaulted the bartender and destroyed property. Two customers who intervened were stabbed, suffering non-life-threatening wounds.

Codrington subsequently went for a walk through the park to 'cool off' and came across Dr. Bruce Maurice Henry. After a verbal exchange in which Codrington got angry, he stabbed the doctor repeatedly.

Codrington's twelve prior arrests include four assaults with weapons. Police are now investigating whether he's responsible for other random acts.
