by M.C. Millman
Last night was Lev Leyeled's annual appreciation Melava Malka event.
Three hundred men and two hundred women were recognized for their activities as much-appreciated Lev Leyeled volunteers. The focus of the evening was to express hakaras to all the staff and volunteers who support and help over three hundred children from broken homes through mentoring and activities through the Lev Leyeled organization.
"I want to thank each and every one of you for taking on the responsibility to help these children through difficult times, to be mentors, to be friends, to be people who help inspire them to grow up, support our community, and be a part of our society," Congressman Mike Lawler shared with attendees.
The congressman presented a certificate of special congressional recognition to Lev Leyeled for its heroic endeavors.
Senator Bill Weber also presented award certificates to the organization.
"It was an honor to attend and present a certificate to the legendary leaders of Lev Layeled at their annual Melave Malka gathering," Senator Bill Weber shares with Rockland Daily. "The work their dedicated volunteers do to help the children of single parents is impressive!"
Lev Leyeled was founded with the mission of being there for such children and ensuring that they can enjoy a healthy childhood despite the turmoil surrounding them. Every child's needs are unique, and Lev Leyeled steps in with one goal: to put the child's needs first and be there for them every single day.
The Melava Malka was held at the Ateres Chaya Surah ballroom in Monsey.
