Israeli Bamba Recall Due to Foreign Substances in Bags

Israeli Bamba Recall Due to Foreign Substances in Bags

by M. C. Millman

Osem announced a recall for a specific Bamba package sold in Israel that might contain foreign substances.

Bamba was created in 1964 and was marketed in Eretz Yisroel as a cheese-flavored snack. This did not go over well with the Israeli consumer so the flavor was changed to peanut butter, creating today's still popular snack.

According to Osem, the suspected substances are part of the snack packaging and might have gotten into the bags due to a "malfunction."

The recall is for  Bamba four packs of 60-gram bags with the barcode number 7290001302279 and an expiration date of March 5, 2023.
