Ground Breaking Held for Khal Dexter Park in Chestnut Ridge

Khal Dexter Park, in Chestnut Ridge, under the leadership of Reb Yosef Greenwald, held a groundbreaking event this afternoon.
The kehilla turned out en-masse to celebrate as the shul officially broke ground, taking the initial step for erecting the eagerly anticipated community edifice.
"Today's groundbreaking was a truly inspiring event," Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder shares with Rockland Daily. "To see all the neighbors in the community, men, women, and children united in celebration was uplifting."
Rav Elya Brudny addressed participants for the auspicious occasion.
Attendees included Senator Bill Weber, Rockland County Legislators Aron Wieder and Joel Friedman, Ramapo Councilman Michael Rossman, Rafi Silberberg, Chestnut Ridge Mayor Sam Presti, Chestnut Ridge Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose, Chestnut Ridge Trustee Shmuli Fromovitz, Chestnut Ridge Trustee Paul Van Alstyne and Chestnut Ridge Trustee Grant Valentine along with countless other community leaders and members.
"It was a pleasure to attend an event with such a supportive group participating in such a wonderful occasion," the mayor says.
"It is heartwarming to see the community that started here just a few short years ago outgrow their facilities," Rockland County Legislator Joel Friedman shares with Rockland Daily. "I wish the entire kehilla hatzlocha and siyata dishmaya on their endeavor, and may the new shul be a steadfast makom Torah u'tefilla that shines as a beacon of light for the entire neighborhood."
