Fundraiser in Pomona for 16th Congressional District Candidate

A fundraiser was held in Pomona yesterday morning, for Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who is running in a Democratic primary in the 16th Congressional District against Congressman Jamaal Bowman.

Since winning a Democratic primary election against Rockland's former Congressman Eliot Engel in 2020, Bowman has been one of the most anti-Israel members of Congress and is a member of the left-wing "Squad" along with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and others.

Bowman's opponent, George Latimer, is in his second term as Westchester County Executive and previously served in the State Senate, State Assembly, and local offices in Westchester. He has run in 20 elections and has won every time. At the fundraiser, Latimer expressed his strong support for Israel's fight against Hamas and argued that the elimination of the terrorist group was essential before there could be a lasting peace. He also pledged to be a strong voice in Congress for pragmatic, bipartisan policies prioritizing delivering real results.
