Emergency Responders Visit Rockland Day Camps

By Rockland Daily Staff

Emergency first responders, including William Paul Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps in  Chestnut Ridge and Chaverim of Rockland volunteers, paid a visit to campers at Camp Teenoke and Pupa Day Camp on Wednesday, August 4.

The volunteers gave safety and equipment demonstrations. Campers were able to take a hands-on tour of the vehicles, including Chaverim's large command center and an ambulance. Chaverim reflector vests were distributed to the campers as well.

"It's always exciting for the campers to have a visit with emergency volunteers," a camp administrator shared with Rockland Daily. "The campers gain from the demonstrations and love receiving the vests."
