Driver Fleeing Police Arrested After Collision Course Abruptly Ends Flight

Ramapo police officers began pursuit of a driver of a black Cadillac who was attempting to avoid officers who tried stopping him for vehicle and traffic violations.

The driver turned around inside the Walmart parking lot on Route 59 and fled towards North Airmont Road, where he was spotted driving erratically on the wrong side of the road. As he got near the NYS Thruway South ramp, he slammed into a car followed by a black Toyota Tundra, which put a stop to his flight plans. The driver of the Cadillac was subsequently arrested at the scene. 

The incident left behind injured victims from the incident and caused excessive damage to all three vehicles.
