Developer of Bluefield Extension Allowed to Move Forward After Court Win
by M.C. Millman
The developer of the Bluefield Extension housing on Union Road in Spring Valley won a major victory yesterday after nearly ten years of land-use reviews and court battles.
Despite siding with the organization Citizens United to Protect Our Neighborhood (CUPON) on two other occasions and voiding Ramapo's planning and zoning board approvals, New York State Supreme Court Justice Sherri Eisenpress decided yesterday that the Bluefield housing can move forward.
The 1.05-acre property was bought for two million dollars by Yakov Grunwald, who originally had approvals to build 10 multi-family housing units with five accessory apartments.
