Clarkstown Sergeant Fredericks Retires From Police Department

The Clarkstown Police Department congratulated Sergeant John Fredericks on his retirement last week after twenty-eight years of service to the community.

Fredericks began his career in January 1996 as a patrol officer with the Blairstown Police Department. In 2005, he was promoted to detective, and in 2014, he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant. As a detective, he trained as a crime scene specialist. In addition to serving in his patrol duties, Fredericks has been a member of the Crisis Negotiation team for the past 20 years, serving as team leader since 2016. He was also a proud member of the CPD Honor Guard for over 25 years.

The community of Clarkstown and the Clarkstown Police Department wish Fredericks success in this new phase of life and are grateful for the twenty-eight years of community service provided.
