The Elizabeth Police Department conducted a training for Chaverim of Rockland on Thursday, February 9. 

Chaverim's volunteers came to learn about the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) training program during their visit to the Elizabeth Police Department. 

A UAS training program addresses evolving regulations, given the expanded use of UAS in police work. Not only can drones play a key role in active shooter response, but drones can assist in gaining crucial intelligence on a suspect's location without risking lives.

Given that developing a UAS training program for public safety presents both technical and tactical challenges, a comprehensive training program is a must.
