Bike Patrol Returns After a Decade Hiatus in Spring Valley

After more than a decade's break, the Spring Valley Police Department has deployed its newly formed bike patrol unit to deter crime in the Village and enhance the officers' relationship with the community. 

Eight police officers have been assigned to this unit and will be patrolling the Village on mountain bikes.

The new bike patrol unit was made possible from the Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial JAG Grant and has support from the Spring Valley Rotary, Valley Cycle, and Spring Valley Wide World of Cars- BMW.
