BDE: Reb Moshe Burech Lieberman, z”l
We
are saddened to inform you of the passing of Moshe Burech Lieberman, a longtime
resident of Monsey, and employee at Pirsum Printing on Main Street. He was 74.
He was born in Chicago around 1946 to parents who came over from Romania in the 1920’s. He became a ba’al teshuvah in the 1960’s, and was one of the first talmidim in the Mountaindale Yeshiva, and he was very close to its Roshei Yeshiva, Rav Avrohom Davis, and his son-in-law, Rav Yerachmiel Shlomo Rothenberg, zt”l.
He came to the Monsey community many years ago, and became a beloved figure to many. For a number of years he worked at Pirsum Printing on Main Street, and became acquainted with many Monsey residents through this.
He was a mevakeish, and he would make many chavrusos in learning, frequenting the homes of those he learned with.
The levaya took place today at the Monsey Beis Hachaim, where he was laid to rest in the “Monsey Synagogue” section.
Reb Moshe Burech sadly did not leave behind any children, and the community and his acquaintances are asked to learn and give tzeddakah l’iluy nishmas Moshe Baruch ben Yoel, z”l–who abandoned a secular life to come close to Hashem, to Torah, to mitzvos and to his fellow Yidden.
