Tehillim Needed for Lake Suzanne Drowning Victim

Tehillim Needed for Lake Suzanne Drowning Victim

by Rockland Daily Staff

A seven-year-old drowning victim was rescued after falling into Lake Suzanne in Monsey on Shabbos afternoon.

A Catskills Hatzalah member, together with four members of the Monsey Fire Department Dive Team and Chaverim of Rockland volunteers, did not hesitate to jump into Lake Suzanne's polluted water to locate the victim. Together, they were able to pull the boy out from under the water and with the dive team's tubes, get him to shore after a search of approximately 25 minutes.

The boy fell in while playing on Vincent Road with a friend who ran to get help.

Once the victim was pulled from the water, he was rushed by Hatzolah of Rockland to Good Samaritan Hospital and subsequently transferred to Westchester County Medical Center over Yom Tov, where he is listed in critical condition.

The neighbors have been asking for a fence to be installed around the lake for some time now, a request to which Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht wrote a Rockland Responds reply on Rockland Daily here.

Tehilim is needed for Eliezer Ben Chaya Hinda.
