Investigation Continues Into New Hempstead School Bus Accident

The Ramapo Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation after a school bus taking children to cheder around nine this morning crashed into a utility pole, overturned two parked cars, and ended up alongside a house on South Gate Road. 

Seven of the twenty-two children on board the bus were injured, two seriously, and the driver, 37,  was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with a minor head injury. 

Building inspectors have been called to the scene to assess damage to the house from the impact.
