Deadline for Senior's Star Exemption Approaching

Now it is the time for seniors to apply for an enhanced STAR exemption with the possibility of an automated deposit of the rebate, as reported by Rockland Daily here. 

In addition to the regular STAR exemption, eligible seniors who are homeowners can receive an enhanced STAR program tax exemption depending on their income.  

The program is geared toward those over age 65 who earn less than $58,000 jointly. The annual deadline to apply is March 1.
