STAR Rebate Offers Enrollment in Direct Deposit for 2024 Rebate

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is rolling out a new STAR Credit Direct Deposit program. 

While STAR credits have already been issued for the Town of Ramapo and surrounding areas for 2023, residents can still enroll in the STAR Credit Direct Deposit program for the upcoming year.

While enrolling does not register a resident for STAR credit, enrolling in STAR Credit Direct Deposit does allow for more expedited receipt of the credit while eliminating the hassle of cashing a check with no worries about lost or undeliverable checks.

To enroll, first log in to your Individual Online Services account here. If you don’t have an Individual Online Services account, see Create an Online Services account here.

After logging in, select the Services menu in the upper-left corner of your screen to find the STAR credit direct deposit link in the Real Property Tax menu.

The STAR program can save homeowners hundreds of dollars each year. New homeowners must register directly with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance by visiting here or calling (518) 457-2036 to receive the STAR rebate.
