BREAKING: NY Court of Appeals Allows Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoemann to Run for Fifth Term in Final Decision

After the Court of Appeals ruled that the Town of Clarkstown's 2014 term limits law was invalid,  as reported in Rockland Daily here, New York's highest court heard arguments Tuesday on the legality of Clarkstown's 2014 term limits law ruling this morning that George Hoehmann can remain on the ballot.

With regard to the 2014 term limit law, the Appellate Division's decision says, "...  the Town Board was required to submit Local Law No. 9-2014 to a mandatory referendum. No such referendum was held. Therefore, the law lacks operative effect until presented to and approved by the voters ..." allowing Hoehmann, once and for all, to be on the June 27 primary for the party's nomination for Town of Clarkstown Supervisor.
