BREAKING: Court Ruling Allows Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoemann to Run for Fifth Term

By M.C. Millman
Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann will be allowed to run for his fifth term as supervisor in the upcoming election for the Town of Clarkstown, according to a court decision by the Appellate Division earlier this evening.
Whereas the present law in the Town of Clarkstown prohibited the supervisor from seeking a new term under the Town's term limits law passed in 2014, the court declared that term limit law null and void today. The ruling was based on the fact that the court ruled that the Town needed to hold a mandatory referendum at that time to pass the term limit law.
Given that it is already so late in the election cycle, the deadline to appeal the ruling is tomorrow.
