$200,000 Grant Secured for Central Nyack Community Garden

The Town of Clarkstown announced a $200,000 Rockland Resilient Recreation Grant secured to construct a community garden in Central Nyack.

The funding is part of Rockland County's twenty-four Urban Green Space projects, which are underway countywide, as previously reported by Rockland Daily here.

The community garden will be located on existing town land, with access to county walking trails. The community garden will include numerous features, including raised planting beds for residents, sensory features for children, a greenhouse, and more. Programming will incorporate children who attend the Town's summer camps and local schools, along with scouts and other organizations.

The Town plans to break ground in the coming months.
