Viznitzer Chassidus Acquires Adjoining Property for Cemetery Amid Dearth in Space

Yitzy Fried

The Viznitzer Beis Hachaim in Monsey is home to the Kevorim of the Admorim of Viznitz, Skulen, and Ribnitz, and regularly draws crowds who come to daven as these holy resting places. This is in addition to the large number of Viznitzer Chassidim, and many others who have chosen to be buried here, among upstanding Torah Yidden.

Space in the cemetery had been running out, and the leadership of the Chassidus expended much effort on acquiring a property that adjoins the cemetery, thus enabling them to expand its parameters.

Announcing the acquisition, the Chevra Kaddisha offered plots to its members at a reduced rate, and reiterated the strict conditions for burial in this cemetery as outlined by the Toras Mordechai of Viznitz, zy”a—concluding with a bracha for long and healthy years for all.
