Viznitz-Monsey Rebbe to Hold Special Mitzvah Dance for Newlyweds Following Shloshim

By Rockland Daily Staff
As the Viznitz-Monsey community marks the shloshim for the passing of the Rebbetzin of Viznitz-Monsey, a unique announcement has been made for Viznitz families who celebrated a wedding during this time.
Since the Rebbe of Viznitz-Monsey, shlit"a, was unable to attend their weddings due to the mourning period, he has arranged a special mitzvah tantz to honor the newlyweds.
This tradition follows in the footsteps of the late Viznitzer Rebbe, the Toras Mordechai, zt"l, recognizing families who refrained from hiring photographers at their weddings. In such cases, he would personally attend and perform the mitzvah dance at the wedding.
Continuing this Minhig, the current Viznitz-Monsey Rebbe, shlit"a, also personally participates in weddings without photographers, performing the mitzvah tantz for the Kallah. However, as he was in mourning throughout the shiva and shloshim of his Rebbetzin, he was unable to attend these weddings in person. Now, emerging from the shloshim on Friday of Parshas Beshalach, the Rebbe has arranged to hold a special mitzvah dance for these couples in the coming days.
A schedule has been arranged by the Gabuim, where several newlywed couples, along with their parents and close family members, will be invited to the Rebbe’s residence each night. There, the Rebbe will perform the mitzvah dance in their honor and bestow his heartfelt Brachos upon them.
