Violent Crew Burglarizes Nanuet UPS Customer Center

by Rockland Daily Staff

A commercial burglary arrest was made last Sunday, August 7, by the Clarkstown Police Department.

Police responded to a caller at around 4:00 AM at 31 Murray Hill Drive in Nanuet for a burglary in progress. The caller, a security guard, reported seeing several people burglarizing the building. The guard barricaded himself in the UPS warehouse until it was safe to come out.

When the officers arrived, there was a sedan with lights on in the parking lot with someone inside. The officers removed the occupant and detained him in a patrol car.

The Clarkstown Police obtained information that these burglars have been known to carry firearms and have a history of violent encounters with law enforcement. With this information, the Clarkstown Police Department CIRT (Critical Incident Response team) was called to extricate the security guard safely.

The team then searched the interior of the building for suspects, yet all other suspects fled before the officers arrived. Thanks to the Clarkstown Police Department, the public was not in danger during this investigation.

Stolen items from the warehouse include electronics, handbags, and shoes.

The detained individual, Amadou Fall, M/19, from Philadelphia, PA, was transported to Clarkstown Police headquarters. Fall was arraigned on August 7, 2022, in Clarkstown Justice Court, where he was released without bail and ordered to return to court on August 10, 2022, after being charged with burglary.
