USPS Delivery Changes Begin This Month

The U.S. Postal Service is making changes to how mail is delivered, starting this month. Most people will still get their mail within the same timeframe as before but some mail will arrive a little faster, and some a little slower. These changes affect first-class letters, magazines, marketing mail, and packages. The goal is to make delivery more steady and reliable.
USPS says the updates could also save $36 billion over the next ten years by cutting down on transportation and other costs.
To make this work, postal workers will start their routes earlier and travel farther when needed. Mail tracking is also being updated to show the full path of each item, from pickup to final delivery.
The first few changes began on April 1, and the second shift will start on July 1.
